She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and also studied design in St Gallen, Switzerland and printmaking in Cortona, Italy. She teaches classes in design and storytelling

Anthony Iacono.pngAnthony lacono (b.1987, Nyack, NY) received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York and MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, Sculpture + Extendia Media in Richmond, Virginia. He attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013 and has been an artist in residence at the Museum of Art and Design in NY, Sharpe-Walantes Studio Program, LMCC Workspace, and ISCP. He has had solo exhibitions at PPOW Gallery, The Approach, Capsule Shanghai, and Marinaro Gallery where he is represented. In 2017 he was a recipient of the Toby Devan Lewis Fellowship Award. He currently lives and works in New York.

Opal Mae Ong.pngOpal Mae Ong is a Filipino-American artist living and working on Lenapehoking in Brooklyn, New York. Their current series is rooted in a felt response to the natural world and an innate reverence for the otherworldly. Drawing from lost ancestral knowledge, grief, and speculative visions, their paintings and drawings form a kind of personal myth-making. The work presents landscapes where feminine others crawl toward horizons, commune with flora, carry moons, shapeshift, or collapse from unrest. Ong constructs, deconstructs, and reconstructs each work over several weeks, blending methodical and intuitive impulses.

Miguel Martinez.pngMiguel Martinez is an artist living and working in Brooklyn. He received an MFA from Hunter College in 2021 and a BFA from The University of Houston in 2013. Raised in the outskirts of Celaya, Mexico, Martinez’s work is deeply informed by the mystical imagery that proliferated throughout his Catholic upbringing. Martinez notes that the church provided an unparalleled source of cultural richness; however, in coming to terms with his own queer identity, he experienced an inner “schism” which he has sought to bridge through an expansive linking of spirituality and art. Influenced by the magpie maximalism of queer artists like Nicolas Moufarrege (b. 1947) and Thomas Lanigan Schmidt (b. 1948), Martinez works through an additive process evoking the ethos of rasquachismo, a Chicano practice of overcoming material limitations by “making the most from the least”.

K'era Morgan.pngK'era Morgan is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist whose expressive abstract paintings capture the underlying patterns and energetic forces that shape and connect us. Morgan earned a BFA in Textile Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This background continues to inform her sensitivity to scale, pattern, and surface, as well as how visual forms engage the body and space.

Sakura Maku.pngSakura Maku was born in 1982 in Ibaraki, Japan and is based in New York, NY. Maku received a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and an MFA in Painting & Printmaking from Yale University. Maku has presented her work at the Center for the Arts at Towson University, Towson, USA; the ICA Boston, Boston, USA; the Visual Arts Gallery at School of Visual Arts, New York, USA; the Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Venice, Italy; The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, New York, USA; and the Pera Museum, Istanbul, Turkey. Notable collections include Japigozzi: The Jean Pigozzi Collection of Contemporary Japanese Art. Sakura Maku is a contemporary painter working in water-soluble oil on canvas. Exploring scenes in which figures interact with one another, Maku’s work focuses on female figures depicted from a female gaze.

Phyllis Yao.pngPhyllis Yao prioritizes process over quantity, exploring a multitude of ways to make a painting: drawing, layering, dripping, and rendering. While her paintings explore a range of imagery (the inside of a faculty lounge, a Greek bust, a doll house) and technique, her ideas all originate from close observations, personal relationships, and a desire to make connections. It is often quotidian occurrences that inspire her paintings. Phyllis Yao was born in 1994 in Queens, NY. She holds a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her solo exhibition, Where is this hope on Earth? was presented at MARCH (New York, NY) in 2023. She has previously exhibited at the Chinese American Arts Council (CAAC)/Gallery 456 (New York, NY), Hales Gallery (New York, NY), and Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery (New York NY), among others. She has been an artist-inresidence at Lijiang Studio (Yunnan Province, China) and Shandaken: Storm King (New Windsor, NY). She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Sam Jaffe.pngSam Jaffe is an artist currently living and working in Chicago, IL. Characterized by wacky, toxic color and overstuffed, mutated forms, her recent work explores labor, folk and domestic art traditions, ornamentation, collecting behaviors, craftsmanship, and the grotesque fallibility of the human body. All art materials are recycled, reused, repurposed, dead-stock, vintage, or otherwise sustainably sourced. Sam received her BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2005 and her MFA from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2009. She is represented by 65GRAND in Chicago and is an Associate Professor, Adj. in The Department of Painting and Drawing at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.

Kimmy QuillinKimmy Quillin (b. 1983) is a painter who draws from symbolic color and narrative in her abstractions. Her works are partially informed by her visual experience of the world unaided by corrective lenses - after she ran out of contacts in 2008, she discovered a preference for her less-than-20/20 vision of the world. This color field reality is reflected in her painting. Quillin lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

CALETHIA DeCONTO.pngCalethia DeConto (American, born December 27, 1980) is a lens based artist known for her imagery that explores a conscious relationship with nature, personal rituals in healing, sensuality and metaphysical intuitions. Born to adventurous parents - Calethia was raised in about 15 places traveling often with her military father. DeConto began taking photographs at a young age - connecting with the land, communities and new cultures wherever “home” was for that time. She has exhibited her photography and short films with galleries across the United States in group and solo exhibits. She continues to utilize her lens as a means to study and honor the natural world by photographing found objects, shapes and feminine figures that come together like a visual poem in the form of collage, cyanotype, experimental film or cinematic photograph.

Sarah PaterBased in Philadelphia, Sarah Pater earned an M.F.A from Rhode Island School of Design and a B.F.A from Boston University. Her paintings have been included in recent solo and group exhibitions at Yi Gallery (New York); CHART (New York); Pablo's Birthday (New York); Lighthouse Works (Fishers Island, NY); Helen J Gallery (Los Angeles); Peep Projects (Philadelphia); and Taymour Grahne Projects (London). Pater has been featured in New American Paintings and Bat City Review, with works reviewed in the Wall Street Journal, Two Coats of Paint, and Whitehot Magazine, among others. Pater has been awarded residencies at the Lighthouse Works, the Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency, the Sam & Adele Golden Foundation, and the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust.

Intricate, theatrical, and unapologetically bold, her art aims to reach audiences from all walks of life, no matter their background. Working through themes such as identity, race, colonial history, environment, and societal constructs, Kassy seeks to create works that celebrate craftsmanship, aesthetics, and concept.Her body is a vessel of expression, both as a living canvas and a source of creative energy. She explores the intersection between visual art and movement in her practice, extrapolating significance from the remnants of the actions. Her process is experimental and intuitive, an ever-evolving dance between material, meaning, and movement.

Magnolia LaurieBorn in Hyannis, MA, and raised in Puerto Rico, Magnolia Laurie lives and works in Baltimore, MD. She holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, a P.B.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute, and an M.F.A. from the Mount Royal School of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art. Laurie is an Associate Professor at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA.Her work has been exhibited at numerous venues, including The Phillips Museum of Art, PA, Hamiltonian Gallery, Washington, DC, Kemper Art Museum, MO, MONO Practice, MD, and the Baltimore Museum of Art.

María Esthela.pngMaría Esthela‘s practice investigates the intersection of experience, identity, bodymind and spacetime through the lens of systems theory, new materialism and magical realism. Her interest in specularity and transparency are informed by her unique autistic expression and cultural fluidity. Her practice is handmade, methodical and site-responsive. Her process is intuitive, repetitive and follows the movement of thought as it expands and multiplies, revealing elusive patterns and perspectives that playfully hint at the ineffable ecstasy that intertwines with the ordinary. She works with a range of materials that coincide in their optical properties, interpreting the language of light by arranging them into coded rhythms; a poetic proposal on the recursive nature of spacetime and the reciprocal agency of energy-matter.

Rosae Reeder.pngRosae Reeder (she/her) is a Book Artist / Printmaker who lives, works and teaches in Philadelphia. Rosae holds an MFA from the Book Arts/Printmaking program at University of the Arts formerly in Philadelphia and a BFA in Printmaking from The State University of New York at Buffalo. She has taught Bookarts, Printmaking and Letterpress at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts, Minnesota Center for Book Arts, and numerous workshops for the Delaware Valley Guild of Book Workers. Her work combines various alternative photographic processes, digital collage, traditional printmaking media such as Letterpress, Lithography and Monotype, along with book structure. The imagery and content of her work is that of reference and reflection. A moment remembered, a time almost forgotten, a thought process evolved. Her work has been exhibited in many centers for the book and multiple galleries across the country and internationally.
